Julia Grueskin teaches plant-based cooking and baking, yoga, art, and Spanish classes for adults, kids, teens, and families in Melbourne. She wants to empower people of all ages to integrate new delicious and nutritious recipes into their diets, while being creative and playful at the same time. Julia has completed the 900-hour Professional Chef Training program at the Natural Epicurean Academy of Culinary Arts in Austin, TX, as well as the 500-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training program at Yoga Yoga, also in Austin, TX. She is also trained in children’s and prenatal yoga. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colorado College, with a major in Art Studio and a minor in Asian Studies. Julia has worked in bakeries in New York City and Denver, where she did everything from baking pies and cakes to decorating cupcakes. She has also taught art and English classes for kids in Costa Rica, and horse-back riding lessons for kids in Colorado. Most recently she started New Mexico’s first cat cafe in Albuquerque, New Mexico, before moving to New Zealand, and now Melbourne!
She has been making cakes, weavings, and yoga poses for many years, and she loves sharing all those skills with her wonderful Melbourne community!
